Mid-April has so many anniversaries. Columbine. Waco. Oklahoma City. Virginia Tech. The day my husband and I started dating twelve years ago, back when we were teenagers.

They say over the course of so many years together, a couple's passion naturally wanes. They say a wife might not feel the same giddiness in her heart, the same breathless heat when she looks upon her husband. Well, they didn't see my husband last night with a bottle of breastmilk in the back pocket of his Levi's, vacuuming the living room floor with our two-month-old baby strapped to his chest in a baby bjorn.
